Established in 2005 by Anthony Wills, Kilchoman is a family-run distillery set on the western edge of the rugged Isle of Islay, nestled within a working farm known as Rockside Farm. This distillery was founded with a singular vision: to revive the long-lost tradition of farm distilling on the island, creating a truly authentic Islay whisky. This limited release was aged exclusively in ruby port hogsheads for the entirety of its maturation, this unique whisky offers a rich and multifaceted profile, further enhanced by the careful selection of casks spanning two distinct ages—the youngest being 6 years old. The ruby port influence imparts a stunning complexity, complementing the signature Islay peatiness with layers of fruit and spice. Bottled at a hearty 50%abv, this release is presented all natural colour with no chill-filtration.
